About
Jocelyn Gardner has been making art for her entire life. With over seventeen years of practice in drawing, Gardner has expanded her range, delving into new media such as acrylic and oil painting, combined media, graphic design, and ceramics, and exploring new techniques and concepts in her practice. Gardner graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Art and Philosophy from Scripps College in Claremont, California. She also studied at the University of California, Berkeley Art Department, for a summer, honing her art further.

In her personal work, Gardner also maintains a wide variety of interests. She enjoys working with the representational with specific interests in light, contrast, and texture across media. Conceptually, she is interested in the simultaneous embodiment of opposites and fascinated at the way personal art can be universalized via emotive abstraction. Gardner is constantly working on new art.

Gardner currently takes commissions, consults for graphic design and marketing, and creates custom work. More information is available in the "Services" and "Links" sections of this site.
